Golf pro skips tournament after drinking fest with Phil Ivey

More news on the rough night Phil Ivey had this week in Las Vegas, now that Golf pro Anthony Kim didn’t show up at the ‘Justin Timberlake Shriners Hospital for Children’ invitational tournament.

How is this related to Phil Ivey’s drinking night you might ask? Well, as the title of this article already suggests Kim was at the same table as Ivey playing craps. Drinking expensive Cognac Kim ‘may have set a personal record for F-bombs’ according to eye witnesses. One dealer called the golfer a ‘loose canon’ (not in relation to Pokerstars’ cash game show The Big Game). At one point Bellagio management asked him to tone it down a little.

We can only think of what happened the rest of the night, but it was enough for Kim to withdraw from the golf tournament at the last second today. Officialy because of a thumb injury (Kim has undergone thumb surgery in May this year), but hey, should he say he is withdrawing from a charity tournament because he is too hung over to play?

Anthony Kim made great name for himself two years ago after a brilliant performance at the Ryder Cup. After that he was even compared to Tiger Woods. After the aforementioned thumb surgery he was trying to get back in the game. Might we suggest a little less Cognac and gambling and a little more golf, Mr. Kim?
