The last few months he frequently showed his face on the $100/$200 No Limit tables on Full Tilt and Pokerstars: Mr Zahmat. On many big poker forums the question is: Who is Mr Zahmat? We can tell that mr zahmat is a very talented young poker pro from The Netherlands!

Mr_Zahmat is Bijan Zahmat, a 20 year old cash game pro who went up in limits very fast. Bijan started on Everest Poker with the nickname “SoFly” and worked himself up to the highest limits possible on Everest. These days he mainly plays on Full Tilt and Pokerstars under the nickname “Mr Zahmat”. He plays most of his hands on the 10/20 and 25/50 NLH limits. According to the High Stakes Database he is doing very well over there with winrates between 3 and 4 BB/100 on these limits.

In the beginning of April Daniel Negreanu decided to take a shot on the $100/$200 NLH on Pokerstars. For many online pro’s this was like a red flag for a bull because Negreanu is maybe praised for his tournament qualities; as a No Limit Holdem cash game player he doesn’t get that much respect from the high stakes community. One of the players who wanted to play against Negreanu was Bijan Zahmat. Zahmat played really well in his sessions against Negreanu and even won a $86,000 pot from him.

Not only “KidPoker” was a victim of the young Dutchman, also other high stakes regulars fell victim to Zahmat. WSOP Main Event winner Peter Eastgate got butchered by mr zahmat and lost more than $117,000 in 3,500 hands. Almost the same amount of money Zahmat won of Isaac Haxton (nick: Philivey2694). Altogether, Zahmat won over a $1,000,000 on Pokerstars!

Mr Zahmat doesn’t perform that well on Full Tilt Poker however. One of the reasons is a $100/$200 Heads Up session againt Tom ‘durrrr’ Dwan. Not the easiest of opponents and he lost more than $81,000 in 905 hands against Dwan. At the moment he is down ‘slightly’ on Full Tilt: -$20,000, this can change fast on these stakes however!

Bijan Zahmat also can be seen these days at the big live tournaments. He got some good results like a 34th place at the NAPT Caribbean Poker Adventure for $59.000 and a very nice 4th place at the EPT Berlin High Roller. With the High Roller he won $76,029.
