Learn how to play poker? Go to George Mason High School! | Poker Bonus Club Marawa

Kids who are at George Mason High School in Falls Church, Virginia don’t have to spend their precious dollars on expensive poker books or poker training sites. If they want to learn to play good poker, they just have to take a math class at their high school..
This september, teacher William Snyder introduced the poker math classes at the school. The classes turn out to be really popular under the kids. They learn the math behind poker and play each other with play money. Newspaper The Washington Post visited the school and saw many kids playing and having fun, underwhile learning math and statistics.
Of course, anti-gambling organizations are not happy with the poker classes: “We’re playing with fire here. Poker can be a teaching tool, but it can also lead to abuse and addiction. The excitement that a win produces, whether or not it’s for money, can have profound effects on decision-making in a young brain,” says Keith Whyte from the National Council on Problem Gambling.
Mason Principal Tyrone Byrd replies: “We know the kids could play outside of school, but when they’re here, we have the opportunity to show them how to play responsibly and to show them how the game relates to their education,”.
In university, poker classes are no rarity. Professor Charles Nesson teaches his students poker at Harvard Law School since 2007. He thinks that poker can be used as a powerful teaching tool at all levels of academia and in secondary education.
Hopefully we will see more high schools following the example of George Mason High School..
