Phil ‘The Unabomber’ Laak succeeded in his try to make it to the Guinness Book Of Records with an endurance session of poker. The previous record was courtesy of Paul Zimbler with 78 hours 25 minutes and 42 seconds. So, Laak played for 79 you may ask? No, Laak played a session of 115(!) hours to break the record. He played 10/20 No Limit Texas Holdem and even won $6,766 in his session.
Phil Laak also got attention for a good cause: Camp Sunshine, a retreat for young people who suffer from from life-threatening diseases. He donated half of his winnings and even managed to get the other players on the table to offer him a $1000 by doing 30 press ups.
