No Sponsor Logos at WSOP Final Tables

A big blow again for online poker after Black Friday: The WSOP organization will ban sponsored logos of all final tables at the World Series of Poker 2011. From a reputed source we got the news that players are not allowed to wear commercial expressions when they make a final table.
The news is big because this will keep poker rooms from sending huge numbers of players to the biggest tournament series in the world. What’s also a big thing is that the WSOP organization is trying to keep this under the hat. The reason for this is probably the fact that online poker sites will stop their promotions or at least diminish their efforts
There are also consequenses for players. When making a final table a player can get a sponsor deal of typically between $2,500 – $1 million, just for wearing a sponsor logo.
What will happen if this situation doesn’t change? Will poker rooms stop sending players to the WSOP? Can this be the end of the World Series in Las Vegas and will the tournament be moved to another location outside the US?
