New sponsor for High Stakes Poker! | Online Poker Bonus

High Stakes Poker·

The future for poker tv shows is uncertain after Poker Black Friday, simply because many of the shows are (or were) sponsored by Full Tilt Poker or Pokerstars which are not allowed anymore to sponsor these shows.

High Stakes Poker was sponsored by Pokerstars, but GSN continued with the show after PBF. They removed the Pokerstars logos as much as they could (only the logo on the poker table was visible). Now these problems belong to the past, as High Stakes Poker has a new and legal sponsor: Gold Strike Poker. This subscription based online poker room has a license and is situated in the state of Georgia. Members pay a fee of $20 per month and can use this as a credit to buy in for tournaments on the site. This construction is allowed by the US and does not break UIGEA laws.

A spokesperson for Gold Strike Poker: “With the FBI seizing the illegal poker sites, 50 million American poker players have no idea where to play poker. Gold Strike Poker is America’s only legal online 3-D poker site and is taking the leading position in the U.S. market.”

These developments clear the way for a return of the Full Tilt Pro’s, who were not present in season 7 of High Stakes Poker. Will Tom Dwan, Phil Ivey and Patrik Antonius show up in season 8 to spice things up a bit?

Anyways, watch High Stakes Poker Episode 10 if you just want to see some real cash game poker.
