Get the maximum out of your poker bonus

It is difficult to say what the best poker bonus for you. It all depends on what kind of player you are, how much you’re willing to pay and what you are looking for in a poker site. Before you choose a poker site and a welcome bonus, we will give some handy advice.

As you may know a poker bonus consists of a maximum bonus amount and a ‘match percentage’. The maximum amount tells you how much bonus you can earn at max and the match rate how much you have to deposit to be able to earn the whole bonus. As an example: For a maximum bonus of $300 with a 300% match rate, you would have to pay $100 up to the bonus benefit.

But which of these figures is the most important in a poker bonus, the max or the match? Well, that depends on what kind of player you are!

The size of your bankroll should determine what kind of bonus you have to go. For this article we distinguish two types of players.

Player 1: The novice poker player with a ‘small’ budget

Player 1 has just started playing online poker and makes his first or second deposit at a poker site. He has a small bankroll, and when he is finished with his bonus then he goes looking for another site with a new bonus.

Player 1 should look for a bonus with a high match rate. He will not get full value from a 100% match bonus with a $1,000 maximum. As we described above, a deposit of $1,000 must be made to maximize the bonus amount. That’s too big of a deposit for players with a small bankroll!

On the other hand a 300% match bonus with a $600 maximum suits player 1 better. With a deposit of $200 he can get a bonus of $600, and when he has cleared the bonus, he can start with a new welcome bonus at the different online poker room.

The bonus with the highest percentage match what we currently offer is the Victory Poker Bonus with a rate of 300%, and is thus well suited for this player type!

Player 2: The experienced player with lots of cash

Player 2 has been playing online poker and when he moves his bankroll from one site to another, he knows that he will remain there for a while. Even though he has streaks of bad luck, he still has enough money in his bankroll to re-deposit on that site in case he went broke.

For player 2 it is adviceable to choose a bonus with a high max. Because he will stay longer on the same site, it does not really matter how long it takes to clear the bonus. He will also probably be able to clear the entire bonus because of the relatively large deposits he makes, even if a bonus has a match percentage of 100% or less. Say, a poker site has a bonus of $800 with a 100% match, you would have to make a $800 deposit to get the maximum out of this bonus. This shouldn’t be a problem for the bigger players.

For player 2, many good bonuses ara available, but one that we can recommend is the exclusive deal we have with Doyles Room. The match percentage of 110% is not the highest, but the maximum is $600. That is not everything though , because you also get 33% rakeback and temporarily we give you the biography of Doyle Brunson ‘The Godfather of Poker “.

Conclusion

Try comparing poker bonus deals looking at what best fits the type of player you are. That’s how you get maximum value as a wise poker player!
