Now there are serious signals that online poker in the USA will be legalised, it appears that Facebook poker may be for real money in the future. The biggest provider of poker on Facebook -Zynga- has more than 54.441.229 monthly users, which makes poker the second biggest game on Facebook. Big brands like the World Poker Tour and the World Series of Poker have their own Facebook games and apps.
People at Facebook have told magazine Business Insider that’s it’s too early for speculation. Facebook will be protecting their brand and will not permit poker for real money right off the bat. However, Business Insider thinks that Facebook eventually will find a way to allow poker for real money “without comprising their image too much”. The potential revenue will be just too big to ignore for Facebook.
