Dwan wins a reported $9 million in Macau
Ten days ago we reported about some serious cash game action going on in Macau. The poker world could follow all the action on the TwoPlusTwo forum because of a Marketing Director of the poker club the game took place and a tournament director who happens to be there.
Now after one and a half weeks of high stakes poker and 109 forum pages (and counting) came to an end today for now:
“The game broke last night after a mammoth near 48-hour session where it started 5-6 handed, was HU for a while and then others joined again at the end. The game would have broken today anyway, as some of the principals are going out of town for a week, we expect it to resume in a week or so. Ivey and Dwan both ended up overall for the trip and sure will be looking forward to an invite back. Dwan expected to relax in Asia for a few days before heading back to the US.”
From several posts we could extract that Tom Dwan has won around $9 million in Macau! Phil Ivey also finished up and went on to bet some sports with some new-found Macau friends. If you know how Ivey bets sports, you can imagine the dollars won can be gone in a day..
